Here are some pics of my most recent additions to the Sherpa fleet, an '83 Sherpa, fitted with a rear seat & seat belts (not sure if this would pass transport inspection these days ), it's the red one. The other car is an '84 Sherpa fitted with a factory sunroof & also fitted with rear louvers (now on my car ). Both cars go, but are very rusty , so they will only be parts cars. The red car the engine is very smokey, the green car the engine seems to be okay & sounds good. Three spare engines where also in the deal, along with a spare gearbox . If I count the engines out of the 2 other Sherpas then I have 7 spare engines . You will also see a pic of the cars loaded up on my Brother in Law's F350 tilt tray & trailer. A 198klm round trip for me to go & get them. s1306.photobucket.com/user/lincolntbird/slideshow/Castra%20Sherpas

I'm surprised to see a Sherpa with a rear seat, didn't even think that was an option. I wonder if that is a Mini Jumbo (Intended for Europe) in disguise! That poor green car sure has a color identity crisis, it has a Red hood that was originally Yellow, That means that it came off of a yellow car that was parted, painted red to match the next car - which was parted and then finally put on the Green car And if you part that car, it will end up on a white car! So where does a guy like the one you bought these 2 cars from go about getting spares from? Is there a large breaker yard near you that he would have gone to, or is that stuff all sourced from the mainland? Was he able to give you a sense of the condition or history of the spare engines? Lastly, was he happy to have you clean out his horde?
