Hey nice Monro. Some one has to support the big blue oval ;D . There does seem to be a theme running through the forum, in that several of us own & run V8's & yet still have a love for the micro Subaru's ;D .

Yeah, I really enjoy driving, so when I discovered the Sherpa is a whole heap of fun I was thrilled to bits that I had found it (and so cheap too).
Monaro is 1 tonne heavier too LOL (and a WHOLE HEAP more expensive to fix). I've got a budget of $500 for the Sherpa's engine rebuild (full bearings, rings etc from Precision Engineering), and a budget of $1,500 just for a clutch change in the Monaro... :S Even with me doing all the labour it's not gonna be fun working on the massive Monaro, but I know it's so much easier working on the Sherpa.

I like the CV8. I almost bought a new CV8-Z in black with red leather. A 4 cylinder turbo Subaru won out instead. What mods does it have? I'm a big fan of factory 19" wheels on these cars - VY GTS or VZ R8. Any big plans for this one?
Chris.

end-goal plans include a harrop top mount supercharger, but for now it's just replace all the old mechanical bits (clutch, suspension, hubs) and fix up the now falling apart interior (that's what happens after 11 years when it's built by the lowest bidder in Adelaide). It has a mail order MAFless tune, K&N filter (woopty-doo) and my very own ghetto style cold air intake using the top and bottom radiator hoses from a V6 Commodore. Cosmetically it has the CV8-Z bonnet, 18" Speedy wheels (and the clearcoat is peeling), various bits of LED lighting and that's about it. I would love a Ram-Air 6 style wide body kit. teamzx2.com/threads/6596-Wide-Body-GTOI like this one a lot
