I was in at one of our local spare parts stores today & one of the counter staff asked me about my Sherpa. Turns out he has one also, has had it for a few years & used to drive it regularly until it started pumping oil into the air cleaner. It is white with Roadrunner & Wylie Coyote graphics on the doors . He is going to check the car out & may be in touch with me about selling or something ;D hopefully . Will keep posted if anything happens.

Ya don't say, Iam liking this car already, Willy and the Road Runner would be a very welcome set in my stable of cars referencing those old comics Hope you get the car, or get him on here atleast!

must be something about the Roadrunner models that like to pump oil into the air cleaner... mine does it too.

Have you worked out what the cause is yet Like crook rings & or piston or something like a blocked PVC valve ? I have plans to strip my old engine down & measure the pistons to try to find something close to fit, hopefully in the not too distant future .

I'm GUESSING it's rings, because it also blows smoke under heavy acceleration, like going up a slight incline... lol

Those slight inclines can really get you . Good to hear from you again sikari, yes it does make it a little difficult to work on the Sherpa when it is in a different state . Keep an eye on the forum as I hope to get an EK42 striped down & get the pistons measured up so that I can track something down to fit. justyfied has offered to measure up some pistons that he has access to. I like your thinking on the AMR superchargers . I had been having thoughts along similar lines, but was thinking of looking into adapting fuel injection off a suitable sized motorcycle twin cylinder to go along with the supercharger ;D. Unfortunately it looks like the guy with the Roadrunner Sherpa might hang on to it as it used to belong to his grandmother, so it has sentimental value, even though he has done anything with it for about 5 years .

I guess you could practically use any small engine injection system as long as you know the standard carby fuel/air ratios. Compression measurements will help figure that out and you could adjust the electronic injection to get the best mix for the compression. It would be a little harder with mechanical injection but still possible. Ahh science... so much fun.
