Have been in touch with my local Subaru dealer & found some EK42 Sherpa engine parts still available. Here is a quick run down on what is available from the list I gave them. Rocker cover gasket, ex. Japan. Water pump, ex. Sydney. Oil pump outer rotor, ex. Japan. Oil pump gasket, ex. Japan. Sump gasket, ex. Sydney. Rear main seal, ex. Sydney. Head gasket, ex. Sydney. Front crankcase cover, ex. Japan. If I find any more parts available from Subaru I will list them here.

I have just ordered the following after market parts from Precision International.

Cost around $260 including shipping. I'll let you know on the quality and fit.

Well the water pump it just plain wrong. It isn't for a Sherpa at all. The EK42 doesn't have a belt driven pump, it's internally driven. They've sent me a belt driven generic water pump. Sigh. Not happy.
As for the complete gasket kit, yeah it looks complete. Valve-stem seals, oil seals, sump and rocker cover gaskets, head gasket, exhaust flanges and water gaskets all seem to be there. That's good for the rebuild. The water pump shouldn't be too corroded as it was replaced by the previous owner just before I bought it. Soon the work will begin. Mua ha ha ha

I guess I now have to head back to Subaru and order the oil pump rotor and gasket...
