I watch Thedudeinblue last night and he reviewed a 92 vivio. I just thought it was the coolest thing! Sounds so good and it looks like it’s a really fun car to drive. Here’s the video if anyone hasn’t seen it youtu.be/PP-GHlWqSYUI would like to import one of these to the United States. I only have two concerns about getting one of these cars. 1. Where do I get parts?! Would I have to go through my local Subaru dealership to get parts? How overpriced would they be? 2. It’s tiny! Do you feel safe driving one of these? It’s bigger than a smart car but with no airbag. That’s probably my largest concern would be safety. I’ll probably think of a lot more soon so stick around! Thanks guys! Caleb

Smart cars actually weigh more than a Vivio does! The thing about driving an extremely light car is that you can out stop anybody else and avoid most situations just that quick. It is more like a 4 wheeled motorcycle as far as what you do when in traffic. In Canada the dealers have all conspired to NOT support these machines by not selling parts for North American market cars. They ask for a serial number and weed out all JDM cars.... very maddening, however there is ways around this that usually require alot of patience.... Slow boat from Japan for parts... So having one of these as your only car is not a great idea.

But if the maintenance cost and time are a problem it might not be worth it after all. I guess that’s the way it is with pretty much any car you would import to the United States. You can’t just go oreillys and get a new ball join or something for a imported car. Maybe when I’m older, I’ll import something from Japan. I have too! They had some epic cars over there that we never had. Like the vivio.

If you like the small cars like the Kei Jidosha class of cars the Japanese have it well figured, incredible bang for the buck, no other micro cars come close to the power and luxury accesories
