I was out garage saling today and happened upon a 93 4x4. I talked to them a bit and was told that the engine had "lost" a cyl. Not sure what they meant by that but in any event I have another engine. Waiting for them to dig up the title. Will be driving it home in a few days. And now the best part--- Got it for $100. ;D

Thanks for the luck, hope it comes in handy in saving me a bunch of headaches on this one... Not for sale... It is a keeper. Not cosmetically perfect but will be a good car. Saw only pavement since new as it was a commuter. Never had one "lose" a cyl. that wasn't something simple like plug, wire, or valves. The PO is not mechanically inclined so it's really hard to say what it is untill I get it home and check it out. I shall keep you posted...

Sounds interesting Moose, here in the UK when its said its "lost" a cylinder it simply means its not running on all cylinders, you might be lucky and the car only needs a new spark plug or ht cable,on the other hand the piston could have a hole in it. If it was mine i would check the compressions on all cylinders and that way you would know which direction you will need to take. I hope you have 4 good compressions making you repairs simple and CHEAP ha ha good luck
