Have been in touch with Precision International & unfortunately they do not do pistons for the EK42. Precisions response to my question about pistons was quick. Their rings, bearings, gaskets etc look ok though.

Hi. I'm trying to download some photos for you to look at, but I'm not sure if I've succeeded! If this link doesn't lead to my 700 photos on Photobucket, please let me know. Cheers, Brian

I've done it! Click on the link under the photo, and you can view my album. Many thanks for the instructions and sorry it all took so long, but when you are 60plus everything takes a little longer, cheers Brian.

Hey bonniefan that is one neat little 700 you have got there, very nice . Are those mags factory & are they 12inch. Is the paint work on body & engine bay original? That is clean engine bay ;D.

Hi lincolntbird, thanks for the kind comments, yes, factory subaru 12 inch mags, was a one lady owner before me and rear seats have never been sat on, the only non-original paint is on the front of bonnet where i had the rust removed and on the top of LH chassis rail that had surface rust, the rest is original, roof needs painting as the silver has lost its clear coat, but is a very original example that has had a very easy life, really enjoying driving it, cheers Brian.

Brian, Wow, what a stunning, pristine example. Can't imagine there are too many cars anywhere that are this old that look brand new and are original. Very nice. There is a problem with your photo-bucket link.. .. .. it leads to a few very nice pictures but they are just enough to really wet my appetite for more!
Especially the great shot of the complete engine. I would just about give my left arm for some pictures of the cam and valve train and especially for a picture of the combustion chamber side of the head.
Those Factory 12 inch aluminum rims look very similar to rims that were available for the Subaru Justy, equally rare!
Nice car, what kind of fuel consumption rate do you have, (Gas Mileage?)

Hi Justjfied, thanks for the kind words,i will see what other photos i took, but to be honest i never thought to take too many photos along the way. Yes you are right, the same wheels were on the 4wd RS justy we got here. The previous lady owner told me she consistantly got 60 plus miles per gallon and got 70 mpg on a few occasions, with three adults on board, better than a motorcycle!!.

Hi Tamir, welcome to the forum. Nice little Subie, looks like the 4 door version of the Sherpa vans we have here in Australia.

Hi, I have just purchased another Subaru Sherpa 665cc in Gympie Australia, I have owned several years ago and can't get them out of my system!! just fantastic fun, for sooo cheap!!! this one is in great condition, no rust, Gold, odo not working but drives like very lo K's. Just need to find some spare parts contacts. I would like to buy a water pump as a valuable spare. I believe the mechanical seal is identical to the Justy, but the impeller and gasket are larger on the Justy. Cheers, Greg
