So my 93 vivio (nothing special other being my only car) has some wiring issues. I have been searching for schematics for the wiring but can't find any! If anyone has any info on where I can find some that would be amazing!

Hi steve70stang, Welcome to the forum. Justyfied should be back on line Monday night & he may be able to perhaps point you in the right direction. If you can post what issues you are having that may help also.

Hey guys that was quick! So I Bought my car off a guy leaving (stationed in japan) and i noticed this guy wired an amp and stereo into the car....except a 3 year old could have done a better job. Anyways. I cleaned up his mess replaced his splices, and plugged everything back in only to find that my constant voltage wire (white) on the stereo plug drops 4-6vdc when a load is applied to it, i also found that my hazards no longer work the ticker just makes a buzz, i pulled off the stereo/cluster harness and found if i jumper the black with red stripe and the white wire on the car side the hazards work fine ..basically i have checked all the wires on the harness(car side) to ground and most all are shorted to ground
Also my hazards buzzer stops completely only when my high beema are on or if the head lights are disconected

Odd found if I jumper the bulb where the high been indicator is on my cluster my hazards work fine (basically moved the jumper I spoke of in the previous post) whoever when my radio is on and I turn on my hazards the radio cuts off....during all this the build for the high been never turns on tried it in other spots the bulb is fine. And when I hot my left turn signal I can hear the fuel pump kind of ticking along with the flasher
I love this car but damn do I hate wiring issues!

It sounds like you have either a major short some where or a bad earth. I would start with checking all the earth connections, starting at the battery to body/engine earth & check the earth connections under/behind the dash. Check the stereo is earthed properly also, if you haven't done already. Keep us posted on how you go.

The dash is fully out so far everything visually looks good it seems there is a short between a black with red stripe wire and the red with white wire. The red with white appears to be for the headlights while the black with red is for my flashers....hopefully I figure it all out before winter comes, or it'll be too cold to be outside and my car has inspection in April....

Welcome Steve (I assume) One nice thing about being in Japan is that you will be able to get parts if required. Problem is that you need a Japanese Girl friend to do the translating. My first off the cuff guess is that you could look for sign's of melted wires and shorting in and around the combination switch. That is the part that has turn signal and wiper switch arms on the steering column just below the steering wheel. This unit is available used on EBay even. I think you are looking for 2 different problem shorts as the radio circuit and fuse box have different circuits in the fuse box from the Hazards which is also the location in the fuse box for the Hazard light, license plate illumination light, tail light, clearance light, high beam indicator light and interior light. If I ever get around to figuring out how to hook up this old surplus flat bed scanner I have I can scan and post wiring diagrams for you. Mean time make sure all your ground wires are in place and their connections to the frame/chassis clean. Then look for bare wires touching and melted wire insulators in parallel wires. First Place to look for this is by the ignition switch and then check the combo switch while looking in and around the steering column. Keep us posted and good luck.

Yeah a Japanese girlfriend would be nice but I'm married so that option is a no go lol. However the cause to both my problems seem to be a short between the 2 the white wire going to the head unit has constant 12 vdc that wire splits off goes to pin 12 on the instrument cluster, and also to the hazards switch. At the connector from the switch it also goes to the fuse box. On the hazard switch there are 3 wires white (same as mentioned) a yelow (goes to the flasher unit) and a black with red stripe. The black with red comes off the hazards switch out the harness and into a terminal block. From there 3 wires tap off the terminal block 1 goes to the fuse box, 1 to pin 3 on the same plug on the cluster as the white pin and the 3rd goes through the left side near the fire wall by the door, this same black with red stripe. If i check continuity on the terminal block between the red with white stripe and the black with red stripe there is continuity...Every wire from noes to ass that i can get to and see appears to be fine, no chaffing and no external damage i can see.
A wire diagram would be so greatly appreciated! This weekend im gonna try and hit up a couple junk yards to see if i cant score a new cluster and turn signal switching unit.

The Factory service manual has nice drawings showing the wires and how they sit in relation to the car/ dash etc. It shows each connectors shape and relative size and a companion chart list the color of these plastic connectors and what the hook to. However they do not list as far I can see the color codes on each individual wire It looks like there is only 1 speaker on a factory radio over by the driver. My new theory is that the P.O. shorted out and melted the wires for that speaker. they are shorted to the wires from the Multy cluster Speedo dash (combination Meter).right around where the 2 12 pin connectors come off of that. While you are at the wrecker get the complete minny wiring harness that is in the dash. It connects to the stereo, dash instruments and that 1 speaker. That plus the cluster and signal stalk combination switch on the steering column should fix what ails, I HOPE

Haven't bought the cluster or switching unit...with those disconnected and the headlights/tail lights disconnected there are still shorts to ground....
