Here in the Northern half of this great planet of ours the days have been getting shorter now for almost 2 months. So yesterday I turned on the headlights of my Vivio on the way to work for the first time since I don't know when.
-Problem 1 is the battery, while normally very adequate for this car is rather small- about what you would expect for a model remote control car
-Problem 2 Unlike the Subaru Justy, the headlights stay on after you turn off the ignition.
-Even though someone told me I had left my lights on for about 20 mins, it still would not start at the end of the work day yesterday.
Now the good part: I just rolled it out of the gravel parking lot on the street, which has a slight downhill incline. pushed it with one leg, turned on the ignition, jammed it into 2 nd gear and dropped the clutch. BINGO it ran ruff for about 2 seconds and then made enough power for proper ignition spark and it roared to life.
This is one of the many reasons one should have a very light standard transmission vehicle. Besides being allot of fun to drive, you can push em around like a shopping cart (trolley).
This reminds me of a time many many moons ago when I had run out of gas for my Austin Mini in the High School parking lot. I just pushed it 2 blocks down the road to the nearest gas station. When the attendant walked up he was excited because he expected a big sale since I was obviously all out of fuel. Should have seen the look on his face when i turned out my pocket for my only 25c coin and said that will be enough to get me home. ;D
Mind you 25cents bought a whole lot more then, than it does now
