Hey exciting news , had new front tyres fitted to Sherpa today 155-80-12's. Cost $70 each including fitting & balance, plus $5 each disposal fee for the old ones . Will get the rear tyres next Thursday. Will also have to do something about replacing the steering rack ends before then so that I can get a wheel alignment, $65 . Hopefully by the time I finnish Sherpa should grip & handle better .

Bet you couldn't find the original spec ones for a Justy: 165/65/13 Those are unobtanium nowadays. Do you have access to Volkswagen golf's and smart cars at the wreckers? You could do what I did and get 4 /3.5 inch wide by 15 inch diameter steel spare rims off of a Volkswagen front drive car. They have the 4 on 100 bolt pattern. Then go to the Mercedes /Smart car dealer. get some used but still good front 145/55 /15 tires from the front of said Smart car. They are a bugger to mount on the rim cause the side walls and beads are so stiff but well worth the effort. Turn your car into a Ferrari killer ;D

The 12inch tyres are getting harder to get, not sure about that size 13inch, but I did find out you can get 145-70 or 75-13's which will give similar rolling diameter to the 155-80-12's. I have a set of multi-fit 13inch mags ;D that I have been thinking about running , just need wheel nuts, in-hex type & some tyres. Will look at that sometime down the track . Don't see too many Smart cars on the road over here so I doubt there would be many in at the wreckers .

Replaced the steering rack end on the left hand side & also had to replace the left hand ball joint on the 22/8/13 . Had new rear tyres fitted & wheel alignment done on the 23/8/13. The Sherpa is a tighter feeling car now. ;D.

As one would think the side that it more often butting up against the odd curb here and there would be more worn?

Right hand drive as opposed to your left hand drive , so in my case the left hand side is on the outside edge of the road, coping all the abuse .

Ooopps, Thought I had that right, drat, that is what you get for driving BOTH left and right hand steering (Drive) cars in a place where the driver ususally sits on the left. ;D Anyway, you are correct, that explains the wear on the left side steering!
