This looks like a great mod. I'm about to join the world of Justy after a reasonable working '88 car that i can use daily has become available. Theres also a later '92 available for parts. Would love to to do this mod. piece of string question how long does it take? are the body ducting cut and pastes MOTable?

Would love to to do this mod. piece of string question how long does it take? are the body ducting cut and pastes MOTable? Welcome to the Forum, I do not live in the U.K. where the M.O.T. inspection is a problem. However if I were you I would just cut and recontour the opening, assuming you are handy with saws and hammers and such. A little bit of sins will be covered up by the wide rubber grommet which is part of the 2 gen wiring harness. Since you are using all original parts, the only part which is original and will not fit unmolested is the aircleaner to throttle body tube that goes over the engine. Hopefully your inspector will not have an issue with that one detail. I think maybe it would be prudent to print this topic and show the mods that you are worried about to your prospective inspector to see if it would pass ahead of time. Tell us how it goes ......
